Comments: "Drugs Can Be Dangerous" forms the 4th and last part of "Drugs And You", a box-set series of educational filmstrip presentations for grammar school children. The preceding 3 programs deal with drugs in the literal sense, meaning medicine, and are of no interest here. "Drugs Can Be Dangerous" on the other hand mentions marijuana and (briefly) LSD, via a storyline of how two kids find an unknown bottle of pills in the street and bring it home. The 7-minute record contains audio dialogue to be played while the filmstrip is shown in the classroom. Unlike most drug-related eductional material this was made for children, not teenagers, which makes for an unusual and somewhat creepy vibe, including a non-politically correct reference to "spanking". All over though, this is only of interest to completists. The 2 discs and 4 filmstrips come inside a huge, oversize cardboard box. There is also a 4-page insert for each program with instructions and manuscript (see below).
