Comments: Soundtrack disc to
accompany projector slides to be shown in high school classrooms. The
program runs some 34 minutes and consists mainly of a fictious account of a
kid deciding to have his first acid trip and illustrates the before, during
and after of that decision in an entertaining manner. The actors aren't bad
and the script is pretty funny, with some priceless lines ("... a
paisley dog walks across the ceiling and he's barking daisies at me, out of
sight, man...") as well as a few cheesy psychedelic sound effects as
the drug experience spins out of control. Sage advice from party-pooper
doctors is inserted here and there, as is a burnout testimony from a girl
who's already been there and done that. Above average for the style.
For technical reasons this is a 2LP set, to facilitate slide shows for
different types of equipment; the content on the two discs is the same. The
discs are housed in a thick, plain white cover. The accompanying booklet is
excellent and contains some basic drug info and instructions to the
counselor on how to use the material, in addition to the entire spoken word
